Attached is the final planning map by the City alongside 248th Avenue where the criteria was NOT met to warrant a sound wall.
In accordance with IDOT policy, a meeting will be held to discuss the comprehensive noise report. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18 in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. All residents are welcome to attend for a discussion of the noise wall analysis and the viewpoints voting process, which will take place in September at a time and date to be announced.
The Penncross Knoll HOA Board met with the mayor and City planners several times to put the case on getting the Sound wall but they were dismissed stating we didn’t meet the decibel thresholds mandated by the study due to the buffer area between our homes facing 248th avenue and the fence.
